Thankfully the riots moved away from me Wednesday. Tuesday though, they were just a couple miles from my house. I was driving home and got stuck at a stand still on the interstate from 2am until 3:30am because they were looting semi-trucks and burning the contents on the road. Just sitting on top of my car in the middle of the interstate and watching chaos is definitely something I won't forget ever. Haha

 

Not sure if I wanna do summertown by 3eb or not..it's Halloween chorus but still.

 

If no one picks a Misfits song, I just might, because Halloween = Misfits = Duh.

 

Would it be too wrong of me to do a 10 second cover of Goofy Goober from The Spongebob movie...? xD There's a reason why I connect that movie to Halloween but no one would get it but me.

 

I had to look at the list.. surprised nobody picked it yet. I don't even want to attempt to consider covering Halloween though

 

haha i mean, you do you, but i personally would probably try to do a song that the majority of people would understand, if that makes sense. but if you associate that with halloween and feel like it should be included on the compilation, go for it!

 

I have a personal goal to record one of the songs I do for this compilation in the middle of the night at a cemetery. Spoooooky!

I really hope work lets up a bit because I have a song I really, really want to do. It's just a matter of if I'll have time to do it.

 

Slowly working through an original now. It's the most asinine concept ever. haha It's basically if I was a 300 year old vampire, trying to woo my girlfriend. She is making me watch the Twilight saga with her (only one more left, thank god), so I thought it would be fitting. Still don't know if I'll be able to finish it, but I'm really pushing to. (also, my Spooky Scary Skeletons cover is recorded, just has to be mixed and mastered now)

 

Ive just worked out my work schedule. Yay.

@bradsonemanband I'll take a shot at "Is There Anybody Here?" by The Dear Hunter, and maybe an original if I get the time.

 

Think I'm gonna take a shot at Forever Halloween by the Maine, see if I get it done. Really would love to strip that one down.

 

I'm also gonna cover Disney's Haunted Mansion ride theme song, "Grim Grinning Ghosts."

Mine was a one-take simple/short cover as most of mine have been in the past. Quite like hearing the results by being strict on myself that way. Will send in this week.

Yeah, that sound pretty hardcore. I'm here in Ypsilanti, and there has been a lot of tension in the area as well. However not as bad as that.

 

I think I'm going to put Lullaby on the back burner and do Coheed's "Three Evils" first.

 

Completely, totally unrelated:
In the middle of August, I announced I'd have an EP ready for around this time. I was wrong, it's not far off, but it's not releaseable (hey, I just made up a word) yet. My new target date is October 21st, and it will be called "Infinity."

I won't go into why it was pushed back, because it was more laziness than anything else. Another thing to note is, I am releasing it under my pseudonym of my chorus.fm username because it's a username I now use everywhere, and I am attached to. A band name seemed impersonal.

I wonder if I can do a mash-up of Welcome to Bangkok and the theme for Lavender Town.

 

What is the submission limit? I have a cover done, but I just had a massive burst of inspiration so I now have two Halloween originals. I can cut one original or the cover if needed.
