I have incredibly low expectations for this, especially after Billy revealed the album is 2 hours and 20 minutes long.

Song isnt terrible, but I thought this was supposed to be the Mellon Collie and Machina sequel? Sounds just like Cyr lol

There are indications that some old songs have been worked in. They performed a new track titled "Scimitar" at a benefit concert a month or so ago and it seemed to be a rework of an unheard song called "Blurricane".

Listened to the song Beguiled they premiered on tiktok earlier, gave me Zeitgeist vibes.

 

I wish they would put zeitgeist back up on streaming services

The lead single Beguiled isnt even on the first album? Strange choice.

 

I have not listened to a single release past Zeitgeist, and the song isn’t convincing me to do otherwise unfortunately

 

Listen to Oceania at least. I can live without most of the rest of the post-Zeitgest stuff but that album was pretty solid and worth checking out.

 

honestly, and I say this as a pretty huge fan, none of the post-machina II albums are worth listening to back to front. really unfortunate given his talent and that of his collaborators that billy somehow has no idea what sounds good in terms of producing and arranging rock records.
