Completely true, and I would, for that reason, largely keep him away from titles. But, Miro/Darby made a great point...are Brody/Buddy elevated by being with Malakai? He needs his disciples to be happy, and so something like the Trios belt or the tag belts become important.

He was dealing with a pretty significant back injury until a few months ago.

Think about all the big men they have tried to push recently besides Braun, they are major geeks. They had to.

 

Yeah I think Trips had to bring him back, even though I would have preferred big cass in wwe instead of aew.

 

Guess he didn’t really want to Control His Narrative. Braun was entertaining a few years back. Maybe they can get him back there again

 

They just need to remove all semblance of character and just have him destroy people on a weekly basis in more and more entertaining and bizarre ways.

Not sure they should have. He's not exactly that great. He did well in the feud with MJF despite how it ended, but he's been boring as hell outside of that.

Hobbs is on a different level, though. Messed up big time not going for him.

 

I wouldn’t blame Wardlow for that. He just hasn’t booked meaningfully at all since then. He has more work to do but he has a presence and a lot of potential.

AEW booking has been relatively poor since that point. Wrestling is still top tier but the storylines have been very hit or miss

 

Yeah the six man tag with FTR/Wardlow is easily the worst booking decision for All Out. FTR should be having a tag title match or another high level tag match. They are the hottest tag team in the business and this match does nothing for them. Wardlow would probably fit better with Darby/Sting or winning the TNT title. Lethal’s group is incredibly lame and I love MCMG, but their inclusion makes little sense.

I tuned in very late to this Triple H interview but it’s interesting how he seemed to confirm that Bray was perceived to be difficult to work with by Vince and that he thinks he was just misunderstood because of how creative he is and how can come up with ideas spontaneously. Seems like he’ll be back soon.

 

Honestly, I think TK is a pretty mediocre booker skating by on one of the most talented wrestling rosters of all time. Who has truly been elevated? Wardlow for sure but he's done nothing since winning the title. Jade but she's done really nothing for the last 6 months. Britt but she's got go away heat because the womens division is booked so poorly. MJF but that is not without issues as well. The best thing Tony has done is offer up a great variety of male wrestling -- tag teams, flippy shit, technical wrestling, TV-approved hardcore matches, etc -- but everything besides what goes on between the ropes really has been on the decline.
