Never actually confirms anything. Just says that fake Dave got the info before he did. I can only assume SRS will get a definite answer on this soon.

 

Ain't no way Malakai is trying to get out of AEW. He's so over as is the HOB. He never would have gotten to do any of this in WWE.

 

He’s over in HOB, but how long has he been there now? Over a year? Has he been put in the title picture yet? As in any of the titles? Maybe he fancies his chances in a Trips led Fed. He’s one that definitely would have re-signed if he was free now. Trips loved the guy and I get the feeling it was mutual.

He also says that there is smoke to Malakai being unhappy, but he couldn't give the reason "without confirming it first-hand"(an interesting wording that I don't think he uses that often on Fightful Select) but that the people who said he was unhappy think things have been smoothed over

In terms of being treated seriously with his promos, sure...but he had that thoroughly mediocre Cody feud to start out, and then the never-ending Death Triangle feud that drug on 6 months. I can totally see him having requested his release a bit back, prior to this Miro stuff.

 

Its true, but you know what solves that issue? Wearing a hat.

 

Maybe I’m wrong but I feel like Malakai is one of those characters that never needs a title to boost him up or make them legitimate. Kind of like how Bray, or especially The Fiend, didn’t need to be world champion and you kind of back yourself into the corner with the character if you give them the belt. Not a lot of characters can walk that line but felt Malakai was that type of character.
