Not listening to this new one. Having heard 4 songs already before the albums release is more than enough for me

 

Love "Old Friends." Josh (I assume that's him) sounds like vintage Jimmy Stadt in the bridge.

This rules.

One of my least favourite things about Sister Cities was the reduction in the Josh and Matt vocals so this is really cool. Also all these songs just sound so big. I'm so excited for the 23rd.

 

Not listening to this or Low Tide until album release, but me reading this lyric still hits me lol

 

Okay so what do we think the announcement tomorrow is?

 

My guess is a pop up shop/documentary screening in Philly.

 

I think we'll get a music video this week and the pop up shop/doc information as well. They've got something they're announcing today as well as tomorrow.

 

This is fantastic. Each of these sound massive. I haven’t been excited for a Wonder Years album this much since TGG

They really weren't bullshitting during that Upsides/Suburbia tour when they said they just wrote your new favorite Wonder Years record

Yeah this is definitely my favorite of the new songs. So pumped for this album.

 

I wish I could stop myself listening to these songs. This may be my favorite of the 5 so far.

 

Lost me with these last two songs. Pretty paint by numbers for them

 

"paint by numbers" is how i would describe them post-suburbia

 

I think the only album you could level with 'paint-by-numbers' is No Closer To Heaven (which they struggled to write by all accounts). It feels a bit lost in the shuffle now with what came before and after, even though there are some great songs on there.

 

I think this might be my favorite song they've released so far

(although I really wish I had the self-control to have stopped at Wyatt's Song!)

sister cities had a ton of interesting ideas on it, just a few were paint by the numbers on that one imo. otherwise i agree and not a single new track has convinced me this wont be more of the same from them. disappointing after like i said the last one touched on some new sounds for them. havent really heard a single new idea across any of the singles.
