I watched it years ago. Not a good film. I still regret wasting time on that movie to this day.

  7. Never seen either of them, but I always forget whether Megan is Missing or The Den is like the ultra-disturbing one

  14. Just watched Umma. As a horror film about healing from intergenerational trauma, it's great. The horror elements themselves though are just okay. I'm not Korean myself, but I could still appreciate the portrayal of Korean culture and tradition in a film that's mostly in English. And I can relate in that I have Asian parents, a mother who, like Umma in the movie, came to this country without knowing any of the language, leaving everything of her home behind.

Now that I'm done with Chucky, I think I'm going to go through all the Final Destinations. Watched 2 today and it was a lot of fun, had only seen the original before.

Very fun series! 3 isn’t as good as the first two but it has some of the best kills, 4 kinda sucks, but 5 might be the best of the series?

It’s an awful movie. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I’m gonna spoil the movie for anyone who wants to know why I hate it. Trigger warning for sexual assault/violence involving minors.

I saw it back in like 2011 or so, so I might get some details wrong. But I rented it from Family Video because I saw a blurb online or something and the whole “this could happen to you” angle was interesting in the same way I like true crime. I knew it was a dark subject but didn’t think it would be this bad. Basically, there are these two girls that are super tight. One chats with this guy online and ultimately ends up missing. The friend tries her best to figure out who the guy was in an attempt to find her friend. She ends up either meeting him or finding him and gets snatched herself. She is taken to a rape dungeon and I think tortured awhile. Eventually she is raped in an extended scene that goes on waaaay too long where you just see her face in agony. She is then put into a barrel with her missing friend who is dead and gets buried alive. I think the credits start rolling as she is buried and you just hear her screaming and crying. It’s horrendous. There’s no enjoyment to be had here. When I returned it the employee saw what it was and said “oh man! That movie is great!” I told him I hated it and he said, “but it’s got such a great message!” You know the don’t trust strangers online and kids especially need to not meet up with strangers from online. But the movie could have given the same message without the extended rape scene. Or the focus on her screaming being buried alive over the start of the credits. Just, Fuck. Never want to see anything to do with that movie ever again.

I love the Final Destination series, but all I can ever think about is the problem with the roller coaster scene lol

  20. Okay so in my confusion with The Den, this is clearly the fucked up one. Yeef. Will steer clear.

Wasn’t there supposed to be a new Final Destination or a reboot or something in the works a while back?
