Excited to see what you all conjure up for this Halloween comp! Y'all absolutely killed it on the 1975 one. Wish I could join in but in a severe time crunch. However, I think I might start work on a Best of 2016 cover so I can try to jump in at the tail end of the year.

 

Second song will be Lullaby by The Cure.

First is Purity by Slipknot obviously. The song is about a young girl who is abducted and kept in a cage underground... she ultimately dies.

 

I was wondering when we'd see someone call out The Cure. Nice pick!

I debated that one just based on the chorus. Then I read the lyrics and a song-meaning straight from Adam... it's about being on the road.

I still think it's a good choice and can't wait to hear your version!

 

Despite that being the theme Adam wrote about, I interepret it a different way and think it suits this theme.

My cover should be done by Monday. I have an idea for an original, and even wrote a chorus, but the recent events in my city (Charlotte) have kind of dampened my ability to write the Halloween song that I want to write. So, right now, I'm hoping to be able to do that also, but I can't really make a commitment to it.
