It’s fucking mad that 7 premier league teams get into Europe now.

I miss Bolton in the premier league. Great memories of Hierro, Okocha, Jaaskelainen, and Campo. Mad team.

I miss Blackburn in the league too. David Dunn, Tugay, and Morton Gamst Pedersen tearing it up.

  3. Villa bailed out because there isn't VAR

  4. watching stu holden start to take over at bolton before the injuries was very fun. think that was fairly early on in my following of the EPL

So, last week Memphis was about to join Juve on a free. This week, that’s broken down and apparently we’ve offered €10m for him… what??

Chelsea’s bid for Auba keeps stalling because Chelsea won’t pay his asking price. But they keep making monster bids for less proven players so like… lol

Stockport v Leicester going to pens. Rodgers could be the first manager sacked.

  8. Rodgers should be sacked tbh. They have a talented squad and they constantly underperform.

I genuinely think the teams playing in Europe shouldn’t play in the league cup. They need to do something to give it a proper identity, and this would allow different teams to win it.

Whenever I see the name Okocha, I think of this legendary goal. Against Oliver Kahn of all people

  12. It was so good being a Blackburn supporter in 2008. I’ll never forget I went to college on a high. They finished 7th in the league, seven points from a UEFA Cup spot, Mark Hughes in charge, guys like MGP, Dunn, Emerton, Santa Cruz, Martin Olsson… felt like a turn of the tide. Then two things happened… they almost signed Robert Lewandowski and it fell through because of the Icelandic volcano that grounded him in Poland and Venky’s bought the club. The rest is history.

I will never stop supporting them and I’m hoping one day I’ll be watching them play meaningful PL games again, but it’s been a hell of a ride.

  13. With all due respect, I have a better chance at making the final WC squad for England this year than he does.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Santa Cruz was such a player. Blackburn made some surprisingly good signings around that period. I'll always remember MGP for one of the worst dives I've ever seen and also because Joey Barton thumped him and for once, I was on Barton's side. :crylaugh:

Paqueta linked to Brighton and West Ham today. The premier league is fucked.

Isak is an interesting one because he doesn’t seem to have been very good last season. When we pursued him I thought it was a lot of money, but I guess for Newcastle that is less of an issue.

  21. Looks like West Ham is getting him. Should be a very good midfield for them.

Isak is a high risk, even higher reward signing and I think he'll be perfect for Newcastle. Damn. Him and ASM terrorizing simultaneously is brilliant.

I’ve been wrong before with West Ham signings, damn Fornals I thought he’d run rings around the league, but I don’t think Paqueta will be that great for West Ham.

  25. This is true. They’re definitely better on paper than what you watch when they play.
