Turns out Sauron was just a shitty YouTube streamer.

 

I have no idea who that person is, but I just googled him, and the other pictures of him I could find actually look like someone who could play Sauron when he still looked 'fair'. I personally would have gone for someone a little older, but I can see it. That is a very unfortunate picture though. Like really, really bad.

it certainly doesn't look good, but i wouldn't say awful. it does actually "look" incredible. the dialogue is just extremely cringeworthy

 

I would love to love this but my expectations could not be lower.

 

my problem is how cheap it looks for a show with such a big budget. It just doesn't look good. I would love to be proven wrong though

 

being worried about plot is one thing

but the negative buzz around the way this looks seems like hysteria to me i dont get it

i remember back when it was announced the sentiment was “this better not be dark GoT style lotr” and now ive seen “man this looks too bright and happy”.

 

Thought it looked amazing cgi/cinematography wise

 

i disagree with this. the show does not look like it'll be a good show but the visuals are A+

 

what specifically from the trailers makes you think it will be not good? you mentioned the dialog. just curious.

 

I will reserve judgement for when I watch the show. I will say the trailer was a mess when it comes to the narrative. It almost seemed like every line of dialogue was disconnected from the others so I have no idea what the story is

 

almost entirely the dialogue lol. it seems like it was written by AI.
