Not that we have any indication that C&Ds weren’t sent to both victims, but that FB post is not from the victim Tilian responded to. It is easier for me to understand the C&D given that this victim was the one who had a group chat with other DGD fans, if anyone else recalls. It’s still a bad look and threatening legal action reeks of guilt, but I’m not surprised by anything this band does at this point.

I’ve said it before, but every sign has pointed to Tilian coming back since the initial “stepping away” statement. I don’t think the general public that got Jackpot Juicer onto the charts are aware of the situation, and I do think Will is a capitalist. Damn shame.

 

I mean Will has always had his business ventures and his label signed a deal with Rise/BMG so not sure where the surprise is there.

 

whoever said will has a team of people in his ear telling him what the best business decision is is unfortunately spot on.

 

Mingus is super talented and kind. Would love to see him move on from the band. Has there ever been any news of him being not good to fans/people? Aside from being a party to C&D letters to abuse victims.

I have interacted with Mingus for over ten years now. He is by far the kindest and warmest soul I have ever met in the music industry.

 

Your personal experience with someone is not universal

 

If I recall correctly, Mingus literally pissed on former guitarist Sean O'Sullivan for a joke back in the DBM days, which (along with Jonny's atrocious behavior) led to him quitting the band. I know that was a long time ago, but decent people do not do shit like that!

 

Lots of shitty people appear kind on the surface

 

I gave DGD the benefit of the doubt that they’d do the right thing here, but was still keeping them at arms length in case this was coming later. This was it, though- unfollowed on Spotify, on Instagram, see you never.

Ya… I’m down with fucking this band off forever given all that’s gone down, but if we’re considering disgusting teen jackass pranks as a sign of one’s character as an adult I’m absolutely fucked on this site.
