Relistened to California Deluxe for the first time in forever and my only real criticism of it is that Brohemian Rhapsody is a dumb way to close out the album proper. If anything, it should've been the second to last track and close with California. Not sure what the thought process was with that sequencing.

Still think Bottom Of The Ocean is a good song. Maybe a darker song than I'd normally expect from them, but maybe that's Skiba's Alkaline Trio influence talking? Anyway...

• There is no filler or bad song on Untitled
•Down is in my top 5
•Love Skiba and love Trio but California and Nine are just super boring

Actually I will.Honestly,haven’t listened that song since it release.I just remember don’t liking at all and definitely not putting it together with Trio.
I understand the opinion Black Rain being heavy trio influenced though.

 

I had to re-listen to “Bottom of the Ocean” and boy that’s a stinky song. Not as try-hard as “6/8,” but not good.

 

I agree that they tried really hard. They succeeded, too.

 

MH is straightforward but great, love the guitar work on it.

Also Fighting the Gravity deserves some respect.

California and Nine are just absolutely fantastic additions to this band’s legacy that was almost ruined and cut short.

 

Yeah you guys can get lost with the hate for This is Home. The chorus is catchy and melodic as hell.

 

this post has been made a billion times but neighborhoods is better than the skiba records by a sizable margin imo

 

I'm talking more the lyrical content and not anything musically. I mean, it's a song about depression and suicide, right? I dunno, I feel like I've listened to enough of both bands to mentally checkmark as being more Trio lyrically than Blink.

 

This may have been discussed somewhere in the depths of this thread… but does anyone know why the remade version of the STFTK video is so rare online considering it’s THE version that was released to the masses in 01?
