Thanks for this. I'm behind on all albums compared to where I want to be for the year, so this provides a nice reference of stuff to listen to over the next few weeks when I'm not listening to Fugazi or Burning Lord. A couple thoughts:

-Backslider is already top 10 for the year for me so I'm happy it's on the list. Bands that I've enjoyed that aren't there are Organ Failure, Sequestrum, Deliriant Nerve, Triac, and Misery Index.

-Probably a hot take: This new Wormrot albums is better than their last one but doesn't come near their first two. Both of those are classics.

-I've listened to the Narakah, Whoresnation, and Knoll albums one or two times though and they were good. Need to dig into them more.

 

finally getting around to the latest Krallice album, man these guys can do no wrong. years past matter is an absolute all timer for me but id have a hard time picking which of their others is my favorites as theyre all so good. when i go on a krallice kick i just listen to the entire discog.

Wrecking Ball was so sick. I'm so damn tired. Fugitive ripped the place apart.

Their set was so damn good. Amongst a dozen other amazing bands, for it to be their first show, it was really a standout.

If y’all are into creeping death, you should definitely check out fuming mouth, more on the HM-2 side of things, but they tour with CD a bunch and the CD/Fugitive drummer is usually their live drummer on tour.

been listening to tons of gatecreeper lately, one of the best. this fuming mouth album from 2019 is sounding killer so far.

 

also i was told to peep conjurer and that record was fucking immaculate

Black metal is so beautiful, but it doesn't rhyme! All music makes sense to me when it rhymes!

 

don't sleep on their last record, "Mire" either. one of my favorites of the last decade
