We have decided to transfer it to our account but not touch it.

If it’s a legit mistake Venmo should contact us and we’ll 100% return it

If it’s a scam, the victim whose credit card was stolen should have fraud protection and the only loser is the scammer

I’m feeling a little weird about it lol

 

Yeah maybe write her and be like “sorry I’ve been scammed before, if this was an error please contact venmo and have them sort it out”

 

give it back minus $50, you get a finders fee if you find that amount of money

 

if its a scam i know a bounty hunter that can track them down

Also I haven’t checked too deep into the Venmo settings but couldn’t you just like cancel or recall a payment if the recipient hasn’t moved the money?

I don’t know how you live 2022 and think common sense mean anything at all. It is super obvious that my logic and common sense is a minority in this country. I’m pretty sure I would fit in what common sense could mean. But there are far too many dumb people for there to be a common sense for the whole country.
