Not really. A woman who has had no issue getting involved with married men is now upset someone got with her own husband. And you feel bad for them? Not me.

 

There’s no denying that infidelity is a shitty thing but does this really have anything to do with accountability in music? It feels more like a gossip thread if we’re just chatting about infidelity.

Really don’t see how infidelity is an accountability issue. Shitty thing to do, but I feel like that’s a private matter between the two parties involved. I 100% have sympathy though, especially with children involved.

I don't want to make this a thing, here, in this thread, but I feel like we can just not talk about the topic anymore instead of deleting posts and disrupting the conversation that already exists. Just grinds my gears a little when people do that.

Kinda paraphrasing here, but @Anna Acosta has definitely pointed out here in more detailed terms that serial cheaters are unequivocally abusers. Maybe a first time offense doesn’t need a full page of pile ons or demand for accountability, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing to drop cheating related news in here when it appears to be concrete and not just rumors. It’s a potential symptom of a bigger issue

I think there's also a wider discussion on men who cheat on their partners who've like just given birth recently. Like obv cheating is awful regardless and serial cheaters are scummy but I feel like it's not uncommon for men to cheat while their partner is home taking care of their baby. I have heard too many stories of women panicking because their husbands are upset that they're not ready to have sex after giving birth. Like not only are women in physical pain and it's advised not to right away by their doctor, but women are often exhausted from recovering and raising the baby. I have never given birth but I had a female friend give me a lot of insight on her sort of body dysmorphia after giving birth and not feeling like herself after and she needed like a year before feeling like her body belonged to her again. I can't imagine going thru that and finding out your partner is out cheating. Like an extra level of psychological devestation.

I mean, unless you have a personal stake, I don't know why you'd even bring it up. It just seems callous and hateful.
