If they took the best of Load and ReLoad and whittled it down to one 45 min record it would rock

 

Not having St Anger dead last in mind boggling to me! The production on that is so terrible that I find it unlistenable, which is a shame because Frantic and SKOM could’ve been great songs

I may be (probably am) biased towards Death Magnetic since it came out around the time I was becoming a fan, but I really do think there are some very strong songs on there. There’s absolutely an issue with the mixing on that album, but I really think that the songs themselves were a bit of a return to form. Not nearly on the level of their classic albums, but better than I think they’re getting credit for.

 

I used to have Kill Em All above those, but I honestly cant listen to an 18 year old James sing those songs anymore. I think I got too used to hearing live versions with his matured voice.

 

Pat went after me on Twitter for a ranking that had some similarities to that. Haha

 

Death Magnetic has a few absolute rippers though…
