He’s actually put together some solid at bats! Not expecting much of anything at the plate, just want him to catch ground balls and throws from the other infielders (which is something the Red Sox haven’t had at 1st in 2 years) and keep the position warm until Casas is ready.

He's lazy and relies on past athleticism. Maybe the change of scenery will have him slightly changes his stubborn ways

 

Still sadly sounds like an upgrade or Bobby Dalbec and Franchy Cordero haha.

 

Man what happened to Dalbec lol I remember people being reasonably hyped about him a few years back

 

He got really hot last year just before the trade deadline and people just dreamed about him being a 30 HR guy. He was never a top prospect, just too much swing and miss with him. I think he could potentially be a useful platoon/match up player but he gets too exposed playing everyday. Plus his defense at times is horrible, he literally drops routine throws to him.

One of the biggest mistakes this year was going into the season with him at 1st and Travis Shaw as the back up. I still can’t believe that was the plan until Casas was ready.
