Caught them last night in Birmingham. Venue is great but always kinda has a low energy/somber vibe to me for some reason; no matter what kind of act plays. Crowd didn't get jumping really until Asking For a Friend in the encore. But it was a good time and they were having fun on stage. Since I hadn't seen them before I was ok with the setlist. Heavy on Screen Violence was welcomed since it's my favorite.

Are these dates selling well? Feel like Chvrches is one album away from going on a hiatus unless they pick up.

I'm not sure how you get that vibe. But I don't get a vibe either way really. This show wasn't, to me, advertised well that I could see but it was very close to sold out. Not sure how many tickets were sold vs venue capacity but there were a lot of folks there and I've been to sold out shows there. Couldn't tell a difference. And it was a Wednesday night.

The Raleigh show wasn't sold out but definitely pretty full. I do feel like Chvrches have carved out a bit of a niche, I don't think they'll ever be a massive band here but they have a great fan base. Seeing them again in Richmond on Sunday, super pumped. Actually really happy they kept the set list the same--I want to see all the Screen Violence I can get my hands on while they are touring on it!

Yea I think they’re doing pretty well and draw a decent crowd just about anywhere.

They typically sell out in Boston at House of Blues (which is just over 2k cap), but the show next week still has plenty of tickets (Roadrunner, 3.5k). But they were also just here in December touring the same album so, to be expected.

Atl venue holds 3600 and it’s pretty full right before they go on.

It is a cool piece of memorabilia but I wish you could get the one worn at your date without having to attend the next day.

I didn't see Chvrches on this go-around (played here last week) but caught them in the fall. Lauren had some snide comments regarding the reception to Love Is Dead, particularly about "Miracle" which I found funny. That album seemed like a natural continuation of sound for them, were Chvrches super-fans really put off by it?

I didn't love it at the time. I still think it's a clear step down from the prior two records, but it's not bad. Lots of songs I really enjoy off it. Screen Violence feels a lot more like a natural continuation of the first two albums to me.

I'm paraphrasing but something along the lines of people accusing them of adopting a big Imagine Dragons sound or something for the sole purpose of making a hit. That song is BIG-sounding for sure but I think it works well and it's one of my favorite songs by them.

Guilty of literally saying it sounded like that when it came out but I’ve grown to love it

Easily my least favorite record from them but it contains some of my favorite songs in Graffiti, My Enemy, Forever, and Really Gone

I enjoy that song live, but the chorus does sound very Imagine Dragons-y on the record, lol.

Graves is the definite highlight of that album, for me.

Oh shit I definitely meant to include that too. Maybe I’ll revisit the whole thing on my commute tomorrow lol.

I absolutely love this album. I listen to it so much because it’s an album both me and my girlfriend love. I’m bummed I missed seeing them this summer due to other stuff

Missed the talk about their last album. I hated it. Like aggressively. I think Forever is the only song I remember liking.

I heard Imagine Dragons in that Miracle song the first time I heard it. Skip it every single time now.

Haven’t listened to Love Is Dead in years, but Screen Violence really sparked my interest in the band again and is my favorite album they’ve done
