I just checked Paramount+ two branded "Paramount+ Exclusives" Queenpins and the remastered director's cut version of Star Trek the Motion Pictures are on their "leaving at the end of the month" section. So HBO Max isn't the only one shelving original moves.

 

Any fans of The Orville in here? I’ve avoided it cause I’m not a fan of Seth Macfarland. But I’m looking into it and it seems cool. I guess it’s coming to Disney+.

 

I've watched the first season. Pretty good. Think of it like live action Lower Decks. Pretty much a live action comedic loveletter to Star Trek. It's alright, but i don't trust any article that starts with the headline "The Orville out-Treks Star Trek".

 

Ah ok, I might give it a try eventually. If LD wasn’t animated, it wouldn’t be as funny

 

The Orville takes some inspiration from Twilight Zone too. One of the Orville episodes I remember most was pretty much a riff on The Menagerie from TOS but with sex jokes.

 

The Orville season one had a classic Star Trek feel with more humor sprinkled in. I enjoyed it but never went beyond season 1.
