Here’s my biggest and dumbest conspiracy theory ever:

Triple H didn’t have heart/health issues, OR, he did but recovered before it was announced / it wasn’t as serious as projected, and used this as a cover up to research the coverup Vince money so he could finally get him out and once he knew he had him, then says he’s healthy again but not healthy enough to wrestle anymore (which also frees him from getting personally involved in storylines which is a good thing so that tired trope of “fight me Trips!” doesn’t get used) because he knows what’s coming and what jobs will be his so why physically exert yourself when you don’t need to.

And maybe Stephanie or Shane had a hand in it as well, but the main conspiracy here is: Trips never sick or not super sick and used that time to step away to fully research and take down Vince

 

That suggests Paul needed months of research to find things he almost certainly already knew about. For all the excitement and praise he's receiving because of his time running NXT, and criticism the E is receiving for enabling Vince, nobody will convince me HHH was unaware - there's nobody who's been there as long as him combining role as talent and front office - going back to the 90s.

 

my theory is main roster wwe still won’t be very good. better? sure maybe, trips is a better recent booker than vince. but it’s more than likely still not going to be the kind of product I’ll enjoy. there is so much that would have to change for me to care, saudi shows being a big one.

I caught the end of the opening segment and halfway paid attention to the first match. Once I realized it was going to be a 2 segment Austin theory match I turned it off.

 

i lasted til about halfway thru, and chose to clean my apt while listening to cornette's podcast.
legit felt bad for him missing the ROH show live.

 

Word seems to be that last night was largely "written" by Vince and was his last show. In an ideal world, they would pull a hard reset post-SummerSlam.

 

With Claudio as ROH champ we got to get Chris Hero in AEW in some way right? Even it it's just a one off thing.
