Pearl looks more gnarly than X, which I thought was a lot more tame than I expected going into it. Still enjoy it, regardless.

 

Didn't love X but I am kind of craving a rewatch

 

adored x, feel like i’m gonna adore this even more

 

I think it looks better than X as well. Only a few months away too.

this is getting reissued in theaters on thursday. pretty much right before pearl showtimes that night

 

Pearl looks good I hope it isn’t as disappointing as this

Just got out of Pearl. God damn that monologue near the end is so good. Very strange film. They nailed the music and vibe.

Yea that monologue essentially being the climax of the movie instead of an action sequence is certainly a choice. An incredible performance from Mia. Great movie, but X is more fun. Still a remarkable feat…a prequel to a slasher released in the same year that’s actually good. Props.

 

Regardless, this "X cinematic universe?" Is a masterclass on posters and trailers. Everytime i see one my excitement level goes through the roof because it looks amazing, only to remember "X was kinda disappointing"

Of course I'm still really excited for Pearl and the 3rd one but God damn are their posters/trailers top notch

 

Found Pearl to be lifeless and flat. Shame as I enjoyed X

 

I feel like this movie being marketed as more of a slasher is going to hurt it, but I loved it nonetheless. Mia Goth is seriously doing some incredible stuff in this. That monologue was top tier.

 

Have no problem with this now after watching Pearl, haha. Liked X slightly more, but Mia Goth and Tandi Wright are incredible.
