it's radiohead for me. have such a deep memory of this one coming out the fall i started college

 

I feel like Radiohead will win this one easily, and I do like In Rainbows quite a lot. But that Ray album is such a masterful blending of his sound with the country music of the time, and holds up so well all these years later. So my vote goes to Ray. Radiohead also already has two albums in the next round, so I wouldn't feel bad if this one somehow misses.

 

i do agree that itll be weird when we have a sweet 16 with probably three radiohead albums, and i know it's all down to the matchup, but if kid a advances and in rainbows doesn't, im gonna be bummed lol

 

Ha, I think you're safe. As much as I wish the Ray album would win, I guarantee it's the less-heard record on this site by a factor of 10.

I agree that I'd take In Rainbows any day over Kid A, though!

For some reason I’ve just never spent much time with In Rainbows but I really enjoyed the Ray Charles album when I listened last year so I’m going to give that one the edge

No way Ray has a shot just because not enough people have listened, but it’s an easy pick for me despite the awesomeness of In Rainbows. Just a huge achievement and boundary-smashing, to boot.

Modern Sounds In Country is a great record though. One of the first vinyl records I bought.
