Man, I listened to those voice messages from Mikaela and the whole thing is super fucking weird and still filled with red flags. People are already using it to discredit her, but Tilian engaging in foreplay and sex knowing full well that she was drunk, even getting back into it after she puked multiple times, is not a fucking good look for Tilian. Not to mention there are other allegations against him.

Absolutely. Also, people equating her saying something like “this was my endgame” as sleeping with him and then accusing him afterwards when maybe she just wanted to sleep with him, got the chance, and then he made her feel very uncomfortable and even violated. People not realizing that her feelings and perceptions can chance after the event, which is why it’s extremely shitty that Tilian is took advantage of her in the first place. Lot of DGD fans just using this opportunity to confirm their priors instead of actually trying to learn more.

Pretty good. Jon is wildin' again, apparently he's going to the stratosphere on this one. Maybe a Demo Team reference around the two minute mark? Really feel like some soulful influence from Andrew in the guitars.

 

I have been a fan of this band for about 12 years, and this is the first time I have been underwhelmed by a single release. Nothing even wrong with the song - there are plenty of elements to it that I would ordinarily enjoy a lot - it's just like, *shrug*.

 

Am I looking too much into the fact that this was posted on DGD's youtube page instead of Rise's like they usually are?

 

That's technically the page that feeds into youtube music. If it was a music video maybe it would mean something but I think this is just a single that doesn't have a video.

Though maybe they decided not to release a music video? I believe they had multiple already shot and ready to go.

I'll add while I think the new song is good it's hard to get excited for this band right now.

 

Yeah, They said they had 2 more with Tim and Tilian in them right? And this one has lyrics about the rat king so I'm assuming they scrapped the plans with the video. (assuming)

 

The video is dropping later. Something tells me the single released at 12pm instead of 12am and it caught DGD and Rise off guard a little.

 

They did upload a visualizer version as well on their own YT page... whatever that means.

I’d summarize the feel of the forum as “fuck Tilian”. I mean, I can’t speak for everyone, but I’ll never listen to the band again if they bring him back.
