I wasn’t that into the season as a whole

 

Crazy how other than the post credits scene we didn’t get the main three in the last two episodes of the season. And from reaction here the season is getting a great reaction.

 

Moments of greatness, I loved the “special story” episodes but I just didn’t care for much of what was going on in Europe. Still one of the best shows even when it’s not firing on every cylinder

 

Finally got around to the new season and watched it in 2 days lol, and I can see about why some people wouldn't like the stand alone episodes as much. The first one was definitely the strongest to me/thought was really great, the second was a little heavy handed but overall enjoyed it, third one I thought was pretty neat if not as interesting of a story as the others, and the fourth......was fairly disappointing sadly lol. However, all the episodes with the main cast were great even if Van's episode felt a bit odd for a finale and was a bit out there. So overall I enjoyed the season and am excited for the fourth, I do hope/expect the fourth will be totally focused on the main crew. It feels like this season was one that had to happen to get the homecoming/culmination of them all for the fourth.

 

Damn, this was snubbed at the Emmys.

Kind of comical Donald was nominated as best actor, considering he wasn't in half the episodes.

Definitely feel like this should have been nominated for Series.

 

Yeah definitely insanely weird that the only noms it got were Donald for acting and one directing one. I feel like they did a lot of interesting work this season, and as much as I obviously love the guy I think Donald is the last cast member that deserves to be nominated for acting this year

 

S4 premieres in September

andy greenwald said like a month ago that they shot both seasons together so a short break between isn’t that surprising

 

I'm not surprised it exists, I'm surprised FX is airing the last two seasons of one of their biggest shows in the same year.

Different award award season periods though, so that's surely important to them.

 

Watch the series finale be a stand alone episode.

 

I wasn't sure they would actually go through with airing both seasons this year so I'm stoked that it's happening. Teaser is sick, I loved all the callbacks to the first two seasons

gonna be so good, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thrilled they're back in Atlanta
