This has been disastrous. Most businesses are cash only, if they’re even open, almost nobody I know has internet or phone service, a huge number of people haven’t been able to call 911. I think services are just starting to come back online now, but they’ve been out since 5am this morning

 

I'm assuming the total lack of mention of this in here means it's not as good as it sounds? What does it mean exactly?

 

For a long time I'd thought about the American uproar over masks and how masks a normal regular thing for Japan, and I guess I should be grateful that dichotomy didn't connect with grifters sooner.

The worst is that I actually think I understand what she's trying to say, she's just saying it in a really head-screwy and not-grammatically-correct-at-all way.

The way I'm interpreting it is that she agrees they fucked up, but they didn't actually think it was going to happen.

 

Any one with eyes and ears could see what was and is going to happen; they’re either dumb, willfully ignorant, bullshitting, don’t care, and/or agree

 

I feel like the answer to all of those is yes. I don't think there's any one single answer. They're all both willfully ignorant and legitimately dumb, but they're also looking out for themselves above everything and it's clear to me that the Democratic party is more about enabling Republicans than actually doing anything of consequence.

 

Anyone that has have Covid experience this: I’m hungry but have no appetite at the same time? I can hardly bring myself to eat a plain piece of toast and I’m just like yuck.

 

Yep, it took around 3 weeks to get my actual appetite back and taste all around
