It’s incredible. Currently dreaming of a Deafheaven/Rolo Tomassi tour that’ll never happen

 

most of the time I just want to listen to their stuff from Astraea onward. still like the first two a lot (I wouldn't be a fan if I hadn't heard Hysterics while convalescing in 2008) but I love the controlled chaos and ethereal beauty of their later work. whole host of gems on Eternal Youth too.

 

i heard time will die when it came out and it was enjoyable but didnt stick with me much. i feel like this is gonna get plays for a while

 

reckon you should revisit TWDALWBI when you get a moment, this is a natural progression from that I think.

 

man the moment drip comes in is the most facemelting thing I've heard all year

 

love how the constant snare hit is cut up to lead into that explosion around 1:25 in, left me agog first time I heard it

wonder where my album and hoodie are, no updates yet so gonna poke their label tomorrow

Rolo were also great ofc. The Hollow Hour is the best

I had to cancel mine from their EU store because I needed the money, moving house next month so the timing isn't great

Finally got the shipping notification on mine.

 

Don't know how I missed this band but I'm on track two of this album and loving it.
