I have Dead Space 1-3 and Alien Extinction but haven't gotten around to them. I played all main entries of Resident Evil last year though and really liked them. Also interested in The Evil Within on Gamepass for Bethesda's take on the genre, whenever I'm actually in the mood for it

Visage was probably the last horror game I played that I loved. Highly recommend it!

 

I should go back to The Evil Within. I got to one boss battle that made me quit. I think I was just underequipped to take it down.

 

Best/favorite monster movies or creature features? Going to be watching The Last Drive-In tonight, but that's definitely the vibe I'm feeling this weekend

 

Not sure how you feel about all of Stuart Gordon's Lovecraft adaptations but Castle Freak (original) was a neat lil flick. (Also Joe Bob did it pretty early in)

 

Love a lot of Gordon's stuff, and that was one of the first JBBs I watched. I don't remember much. About time for a rewatch!

 

Q The Winged Serpent was another early one that JBB did that I really enjoyed.

Might try Mad God this weekend.

Maybe it was discussed but Candyman(2021) and The Wolf of Snow Hollow are both on prime

I didn't think Candyman was very good. The Wolf of Snow Hollow rules though.

 

wrong move. The Boy is absolute bat shit and I LOVED the twist

 

Candyman and The Wolf of Snow Hollow are both worth watching!!

 

I really enjoyed the new Candyman. Much more than the first, tbh. It's not as good as Get Out (the only other black horror movie I can think of...) but I think it's worth watching.

 

candyman '21 rules. I recommend watching the deleted scenes if you can, they flesh it out a lot!

 

Need to check out The Wolf Of Snow Hollow.

 

Wolf of Snow Hollow was very fun. I laughed way more than I thought I would. Perfect length for that kind of movie as well.

 

Has anyone read this? It’s been on my list for years and was considering picking it up for a September read to lead into Spooky Season.

Ended up doing Popcorn and Ice Cream Man this weekend but not Mad God yet. Was feeling some cheese and certainly got some with those 2. Was surprised by Popcorn tbh.

 

Mad God is so unsettling. Got about halfway through last night and the imagery lingered in my dreams
