    Thoughts:

    - Hayden Christensen playing AotC-era Anakin 20 years later still isn't Jesse Plemmons in El Camino levels of jarring, so I'm fine with it.

    - I really enjoyed seeing Obi-Wan trying to strategise an escape, especially this exchange:

"Roken, how much time do you need to override the doors?"
    "Three, four hours."
    "You have one."

    - RIP Tala. Would love for the character to appear in another SW story set beforehand.

    - Getting to see Vader's power and brutality on display is never not thrilling. Glad we got plenty of it in this episode.

    - I'm surprised Vader was ok leaving Reva without making sure she was dead first, considering Obi-Wan left him to die on Mustafar and we all know how that turned out.

I’ve been mostly enjoying this show despite its warts, but this last episode really bugged me. There were just too many things that didn’t make sense and they all added up.
Like why didn’t Reva just lightsaber down that door instead of having the stormtroopers shoot at it with the weak-ass turret gun for 5 minutes?
How did Reva think that letting Obi Wan go in that fashion and then tiptoeing behind Vader was a good plan?
Why didn’t Vader stop the other ship with the force like the first? (Also, was the other ship inside the hull of the first ship like a ship-within-a-ship? It was hard to tell what happened there)
Why did Vader just leave Reva mostly dead without finishing the job?

I know it’s been said before, but Disney has done better with Vader than Lucas ever did.

This one was definitely better than the last 3. Think I enoyed ep 1 about the same amount. Vader vs Reva was fun and the visual of Vader pulling the ship down was pretty awesome. Finally getting a flashback scene was nice to see but it was a weird scene with a 40 yr old Hayden playing pre-AOTC Anakin. I still hate the short run times and they've continued to make choices with this that confuse me every week. Overall still pretty whatever about this show as a whole and I don't know if ep 6 can rectify the issues I already have.

Yeah old Anakin was weird. But I still loved seeing it.

Also confused about the ship within a ship thing.

The ship Obi-Wan & the gang escaped in was behind the ship that Vader ripped open, not inside it.

Yeah I see that on a second watch. I guess was just so captivated by Vader there to see it.

For sure, I didn’t even notice there was a ship in the background the first time I watched the scene.

No, I’m still hoping for a Criterion re-release of ROTS.

Interesting that this continued the concept of having each episode mirror the corresponding saga episode.

So it’s not like, perfect, and it doesn’t mirror the whole movie, generally a vibe or a sequence from it. So, like episode one has the Tatooine vibes and a Jedi being sent on a mission to go save royalty (queen/princess).
episode 2 mirrors the nighttime coruscant can’t chase and bar sequence from Clones. Episode 3 had a Vader/Kenobi fight where one ended with it burning. Episode 4 is Kenobi infiltrating an imperial base to save Leia, who was being interrogated by someone in all black. This week mirrors the rebels being on Hoth and the Empire sending an overwhelming force only ti make a desperate last moment escape.

It’s definitely not in the nitty gritty details. It’s just vibes and Similar circumstances. Next week we will get a final lightsaber fight where good ultimately wins. If they will mirror a specific sequence or not remains to be seen.
