Saw Beastie Boys back in 2004 and they had a dog show open for them. More bands should be doing that.

When I saw The Killers in 2007 at MSG they had a Beatles cover band from Korea open up, and it was honestly the most memorable opening set I've seen.

 

Have Portrayal of Guilt or Full of Hell open. Just something to completely fuck the crowd up.
