    Was wondering whether they'd go back to more of an Integrity Blues-type sound after Surviving but it seems like that's not the case, which is totally fine by me!

    I'm in for whatever they choose to do, whether it's more the Bleed American/Surviving vibe or the Futures/Integrity Blues vibe. It's all great.

    I agree, it's the only album in their discography that I never connected with on first listen, or any subsequent listen. I hope eventually something clicks though!

    As long as it's something they're inspired by, I'm on board. We've gotten 10 albums worth of music that means the world to us and that's more than most bands can manage. All I care about is that they're having fun and aren't phoning it in.

    I for one do not wish for the band Jimmy Eat World to break up even if I end up disliking the new album

    With this news I’m going to listen to Surviving today while wearing my Surviving tshirt.

    I can’t believe it’s been 2.5 years since it came out. WTF!

    It's very easy and what I've done with this band, MCS, Muse, Arcade Fire, and a certainly a few others over time while just enjoying the early stuff only.
