Nice catches! The shot of Howard running up the exterior stairs after freaking out at the meeting was very Vertigo. I'm sure people more versed in Hitchcock will spot a lot more references.

Also, I've been calling him Professor Laskey the entire show. It annoys the shit out of my wife but I can't help it. I low key hope that Zack Morris pops up again in Barry so we can keep the Saved by the Bell cast joining prestige dramas train rolling.

 

These writers are just sick. I spend weeks dreading that the tragic twist would be Howard killing himself after everything they did to him. Then he goes and says “I’m going to land on his feet” and you think you’re in the clear and

Started this today. Immediately watched 6 episodes. Not reading anything, just popping in to say how the fuck did Peter Dinklage beat out Jonathan Banks.

I've been watching the show in chunks rather than weekly so that's why I haven't been in the thread. Just watched the mid-season finale and only BB/BCS can make me feel that sheer terror from a climax of the story being told. I am absolutely blown away, I was feeling empathy for Howard a lot these final few episodes, fuck man.

You knew something big was coming, the set's being dark as fuck everywhere this season. Once I saw a few minutes left in the episode and the scene had Saul and Kim in it my heart dropped.

 

The title of the final episode, 'Plan and Execution' FUCK

 

I was honestly nervous that Howard was going to kill Kim, did not see Lalo coming in

 

9.9 out of 10 is way too low, imo.

 

That would never happen. He would rather ruin his law reputation while trying to continue to discredit Jimmy/Sauls reputation.

I’m going through the mental rolodex of the many people I know IRL who watch BCS so I can talk about it with more people and I cant think of ANYONE. WHAT A SHAME MORE PEOPLE DO NOT WATCH THIS.

 

I’m in a Better Call Saul group chat with some friends where everybody’s nickname is set to ‘Saul’ and there’s no actual discussion of the show, 99% of the messages are just us sending the briefcase emoji back and forth. It’s perfect, no notes.

 

It is actually kind of weird that literally every human I’ve ever been in contact with watched Breaking Bad but nobody I know IRL watches BCS

 

My hope is that the series finale for BCS gets some real-deal hype and that gets people to start binging it.

 

Is it though? Prequel or sequel series are just not as well watched as the original

 

A lot of people watched the early episodes of BCS and gave up on it.
