Every year we go through the "who the hell is left to play??" and then BOOM, great lineup. Love this festival so damn much.

    Give what you can.

I'd be down for an Eve6 after show at my apartment where they do a full album play of "It's All in Your Head." It's a two bedroom though so the venue might be a tad too big.

NGL, I kinda love that record. There's a few cringe moments with the lyrics but it's got some very solid songs.

Midtown is sick. I’d say living well is the best revenge is the best record to start with. First one is a little more raw and forget what you know is going for a more down the middle adult sound. All good records but in terms of entry points that’d be my suggestion.

They’ve always had some cringe moments with their songs.

    Things have changed.

They actually had a pretty good crowd at Bottom Lounge last night

another prediction i got wrong was thinking they would load up friday with emo/scream/post hardcore peers to open for mcr, but no thursday, the used, or taking back sunday (tho still possible), etc..

  13. Anyone know LS Dunes (second-to-last line on Friday)? A quick search didn't produce anything on Spotify or Google.

Same! Even with the weird twitter omnipresence thing they have going on, I very much like Eve6 in a fully non-ironic way and IAIYH is my favorite record of theirs with Horrorscope pretty close behind.

I have a lot of bands I need to check out that I've either never heard of or heard of but never listened to. Currently, my days are looking something like this (additional recommendations welcome):

    Friday:
MCR, Bleachers, Descendents, Jeff Rosenstock, Less Than Jake, Lagwagon, maybe Foxy Shazam, Sincere Engineer, Destroy Boys

Saturday: Misfits, Bad Religion, maybe The Front Bottoms, The Menzingers, GWAR (for the lols), Fear, War on Women, Skating Polly

Sunday: maybe NIN, Jimmy Eat World, Lunachicks, The Bombpops

This lineup is ultra top-heavy for me, which means difficult decisions in my future.

Friday: MCR, Alk3, Bleachers, Rocket From The Crypt, Less Than Jake, Foxy Shazam, Cloud Nothings.
Saturday: Misfits, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bad Religion, The Menzingers, Alexisonfire, The Get Up Kids, GWAR.
Sunday: NIN, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ice Cube, Sleater-Kinney, JEW, Midtown.

Bummed I have to miss this year, but I'm going to When We Were Young so it's not a total loss lol

And I remember that Bamboozle dude was saying he's booked four reunions for next year's return. Now with this Riot lineup I'm assuming Yellowcard and Midtown are two of them (one can hope!).

So do we think MCR plays unopposed on Friday night? If not, who plays against them? Saturday and Sunday seem kinda obvious with Misfits/Yellowcard/Yungblud and NIN/Ice Cube/Academy is

Jumped on Friday + Sunday tickets! Midtown is the big one for me.

interesting quote from the ALT Press article about the lineup:
“I think this year’s lineup really speaks to who we are; it’s been a minute since we’ve gotten to curate a lineup like this,” festival founder Mike Petryshyn says. “I’m especially excited for what this is leading into: the stuff that’s happening in the next few weeks, and the years to come.”

i wonder what happening in a few weeks?

Now that the lineup is out, does anyone have any recommendations for any of the lower billed bands? I just noticed that I am not familiar with many of them.
