Wow, looked at the Backlash card, its basically a re-run of WM Night 2.

 

Backlash card is maybe the worst PPV lineup I’ve seen

 

I'll be honest did not see this Roman teasing leaving stuff coming. wtf will they do if he follows up on that? I don't see anybody currently on that roster Vince will trust that spot with, and I don't see someone like Breaker taking that torch anytime soon either.

 

On the womens side Im fairly sure its someone who'll lose; feels like we're getting Toni v Britt again off that tag match. So, I can see it being another joshi wrestler or is there someone with history with Britt I cant think of? Conversely, if they want to push the eventual AEW x Stardom thing, then Kairi Sane would be the dream.

And mens side, the brackets feel so soft that it feels kinda obvious it'll be Cole vs whoever the Joker is...probably with the Joker going over. So, my personal preference would be Miro, but I'd also be down with Cesaro.

 

Yeah this PPV looks so bad I don't even want to do a card for it. I'll just hold off for DoN in a few weeks.

This PPV card is atrocious.

 

I cant even begin to describe how deeply funny this would be.

Also, there's really no reason they cant make Seth the face of the company since he's been their main worker for most of the last decade. And they have enough with Lashley/Edge/Miz/Randy/etc who can do the public appearances, etc.

Best I can tell, there's no evidence that Roman actually draws in viewers/sells tickets above and beyond others. WWE's a machine that'll just keep running no matter who they showcase.

 

SRS's report on Roman makes it sound like the hubbub is really nothing and that WWE is aware of and involved in whatever his future career plans are and that it might literally just be him referring to no longer doing the regular house show circuit

 

Like is it so much to ask to bring back " young upper midcard guy who is pushed as IC champ most of the previous year wins RR, then wins the title at mania to become the guy, then repeat that with another upper midcarder a couple years later" booking again?

Feels like an I Quit match or the Edge->Rhea thing should have mained, just for storyline/intrigue reasons.

 

I still don't understand why this is a six man and not just the tag team unification match.
