Trapped in a Boi addiction

 

I played it for an hour today. It's extremely well made and gorgeous but I just didn't think it was a lot of fun in the end :( refunded it.

that said I don't think what *would* be fun for me right now so take it with a grain of salt.

 

I had to pay through the nose for a Gamestop bundle as well as sign up for their Pro Rewards program, but I finally got a PS5. I feel like it does a really bad job of explaining the difference between the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. If the upgrade for the Final Fantasy VII remake is free, why would I want to download the PS4 version? If I own the PS5 version of Judgment, why not show the PS4 version as purchased or at least indicate something?

 

Finished Yakuza 0, twas excellent.

I really want to get back into Cold Steel 3 and 4 but I have to try Kiwami first.

 

Player's Log: Orwell: Ignorance Is Strength.

So I completed the third and final episode, and did two different playthroughs of it for achievement purposes.

It's really an intriguing game series. In the third act, you actually collect information to build a "narrative" and, true to real life, wield social media like a weapon and spread fake news to discredit the antagonist. It's kind of scary how on point this feels.

Anyway, I still have five achievements that will require me to replay episodes and make different choices. I may do that in the next couple of days.

In the meantime, since I finished the Orwell series, I spun the wheel again. It did give me Steins;Gate at first, but I want to save that for when I watch the anime, like I did with Psycho-Pass.

So I spun it again, and got Danganronpa.

They should honestly remaster and re-release The Omega Strain, you know since they decided to make that an online game for some kooky reason back in the early 00’s.

 

Started the Guardians of the Galaxy game today and it's already a ton of fun

I've been to PAX every year that it's been in Boston and always have a good time, but I think I could have done everything in one day this year. I'll blame COVID and hope that next year is bigger.

My takeaways: that PAX Exclusive Voodoo Ranger IPA was good and Trek to Yomi is going to be awesome.

yeah it was definitely a transition year, i'm glad they were able to make it happen but it wasn't particularly exciting compared to other years. good to see friends that i only see at PAX though!
