That was pretty catchy and a pleasant surprise.

Bought tix to see them in NYC next month and am mostly excited by the idea of singing along to songs off A Place In the Sun - but their new shit's been good so far, too.

Not terrible. Kinda catchy. I think I liked it better when it was My Own Worst Enemy. Same story, different words!

That was catchy, although not memorable.

I love Lit’s first two albums. These two new singles sound a little Trumpy to me. I may be reading too much into it but Yeah Yeah Yeah is, “we’re pushing into the red.” And I wonder why he was kicked off a plane in the new single. Again, I’m probably wrong but it sounds like an anti-masker’s theme song.

  7. haha what? you really are "reachingfor" something with that one.

Saw Lit Twice, once in 1999 opening for The Offspring at Jones Beach during the height of "My Own Worst Enemy" mania and once in 2004 at Bowery Ballroom when they were promoting their first independent release. Were a lot of fun both times and, most notably, on the second they played "Everything's Cool" even though Jeremy forgot the solo and AJ just sang it haha.

I don't think this is too far of a reach. Didn't their last music video have blue lives matter flags?

Below are the lyrics posted with the video. Not sure where you got pushing into the red... I see nothing political here.

    Left Chicago high as hell
One red line left on my cell
Forgot my judgment at the bar story of
    My life so far

    Got kicked off the plane
    No one else to blame
    Again
I know I’ve seen better days
    I’ll be fine
What’s one more walk of shame

Said some things I can’t take back I guess your
    Name ain’t spelled like that
I never meant to be that guy
It’s the price I pay for another good time

Make me make me go away
I’ll come back some other day
Every time I try to change
It ends in a walk of shame
