    Joji

He dislikes performing in front of people and has to take meds when he does, IIRC, so he doesn’t perform much.

    run away with me Platinum

Lorde only tours once an album cycle every few years which is unheard of

What I find most interesting is how many artists blew up during COVID, artists who previously had some kind of decent success but nothing near what they have now. Phoebe Bridgers, JBREKKIE, Perfume Genius, Bartees Strange, Lucy Dacus, Indigo De Souza, Samia, Turnstile, Waxahatchee, Faye Webster, Spirit of the Beehive, etc.

It still blows my mind that the Boygenius tour played sub-2000 cap rooms, and now Phoebe alone can sell 5000+ tickets no problem.

Phoebe’s jump to popularity has been insane. Punisher deserves it but I hope new fans don’t sleep on Stranger in the Alps. My roommate in college loved Punisher (played it once a week) but didn’t know that Stranger in the Alps existed.

I think she’s toured quite a bit. She’s played here a lot over the last few years(granted it is her hometown)

I don't think Lil Nas X has even played a show, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure his only performances ever are award shows or late night shows

He played some radio shows last year like Jingle Ball and also Audacy Beach Festival. But they were probably less than 5 performances and with really short sets

I would add Olivia Rodrigo to this list

crazy part was at least in Nashville (it was a 2700 cap) but Julien closed the show. And I would argue, made phoebe and Lucy look like opening acts. She blew me away. Having said that, I feel like that is one of those tours that now looking back on it, was really special that I even got to attend.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Everyone from Boygenius blew up the last couple years and I’m here for it

She actually just started her first tour like a week ago. She's playing places she could probably easily sell out two or three times over - she's playing the Aragon in Chicago and they had to do a raffle for the tickets I think.

Does this feel like a major step down for Dashboard Confessional to anyone else? I would have thought for sure they’d be the sole headliner on this bill

Armor For Sleep on that is kinda wild

  22. I knew there wouldn't be a Chicago date since Dashboard is playing Lolla, but I also didn't expect Armor For Sleep to be opening the midwest dates. Might have to road trip to Indy for that one.

That tour can eat shit purely out of jealousy because I desperately want a Michigan date

I don't think so, honestly. I'm 100% down for a co-headliner with Andrew and Dashboard Confessional, and I think it's absolutely wild to have Cartel on the date I'll be going. This is like a dream tour for me if it were 2004-05.

No, this is pretty standard for him at this point.
