Im getting super worried about conflicts especially with Sunday and with We Came As Romans, The Plot In You, Chase Atlantic, and Underoath all being added on top of Blackbear, The Maine, State Champs, Mod Sun, AOF, and TGI already there I’m going to have to make some tough choices

 

I’m annoyed that DWP bought a venue that previously held two major wisconsin festivals (country USA and rock USA) after the previous promoter went under when covid hit and has yet to do really do anything. Summer 2021 shows were cancelled or moved, and there was supposed to be stuff happening summer 2022 but nothing announced so I’m doubting that.

 

have you seen Mod Sun before? Unless you’re a massive fan I’d say skip it, cheesy af.

 

Sunday is easily the most stacked day of So What and will probably be the only day I attend (if I go at all) - I wouldn't mind seeing a few bands on Saturday though. Friday doesn't interest me at all.

 

Yeah, the So What lineup definitely gets more appealing as it goes on. I keep having to remind myself to take breaks because there's so many bands I want to see, especially Saturday.

 

I like Chase Atlantic but they are incredible underwhelming live... maybe that will help your scheduling.

Tbh Chase Atlantic is one of my favorite artist and I thought they were super fun live. Blackbear is another favorite artist of mine so I’m hoping they play back to back and close out the fest for me but that probably means they conflict with TGI and AOF who both don’t tour as regular . Didn’t realize CA is that big to be listed directly under Blackbear on the poster and above The Maine and State Champs

I agree, Chase Atlantic sound better live than on record in my opinion. The acoustic drums & distorted guitars really just push the songs over the edge imo.

Also, Chase Atlantic absolutely BLEW UP when "OhMami" was released: Their Instagram followers went from 580k to 1.2million between July & January, their new singles got thousands of TikToks made, and then they sold out every date of their headliner. Super proud of them, and I anticipate they'll just keep getting bigger.

 

Singer missed every 3rd word and was high as fuck at the Brooklyn show. Cool lights and I agree the drums/live instruments add a new dimension.

It'd be their only run of 3 shows in 3 nights, but it does seem quite interesting that there's no Chicago date.

 

NIN has replaced Foo Fighters at a few festivals

 

Parkway Drive North America tour canceled

 

The Ghost Inside is now headlining Saturday of So What, Underoath is headlining Sunday. Hatebreed is playing Saturday, Stick to Your Guns on Sunday, Black Dahlia Murder dropped.

 

Damn, was looking forward to the tour, and this makes me worry this may be their end.

 

I've been so excited for this tour since 2020. Oh well :(

either parkway drive weren't selling nearly enough tickets or they don't want to get vaxx'd to play the venues. or they're just breaking up.
