  1. I usually go to New Jersey to play since there’s so many nice courses. We have four courses on Staten Island but the conditions usually suck at two of them and one is private. Silver Lake is a 10 minute drive for me and it’s a nice course so for convenience I mostly play there.

  2. Sam Burns is so good. He's been a bit erratic lately but man is he talented.

Morikawa got trounced by Abraham Ancer in match play this morning. Rahm and Koepka are duking it out.

Is it Thursday yet? It's shaping up to be great week. Tiger playing and making the cut would be amazing enough - can't imagine what it would be like if he was actually in contention. I'm not expecting that but it will be compelling regardless as this seems to be one of the deepest fields in recent memory.

Also glad to get my first round of the year in this past weekend. And now we have snow on the ground so glad to have the tournament in play this week to distract me from a never ending winter.

psyched for this week/weekend. my picks are Justin Thomas, Cantlay, or Scheffler. He's been lighting it up, on a good run when its gonna matter. I expect Spieth to be in contention and I would personally love to see Brooks in a good position come Sunday. he missed the cut last year so I think he's gonna be a little extra fired up.

is there any competition with greatest comeback story in sport or human history if he wins this? might honestly throw like $50 on him just for shits.

I don't think anything else could compete. It's probably my fandom coloring my perspective but in his presser he seemed unusually confident--even for him--that I would not rule him out making some noise. He has mixed results coming back from long layoffs due to injuries, but he knows this course well and just his indomitable will helps him with any nerves he may feel.

    overall winner prediction: Koepka

I don't think Tiger makes the cut, and I'm just hoping he doesn't have to withdraw.

I think Rahm, Spieth, JT, DJ, and Cantlay are all top 20. Think the last 5-10 groupings on Sunday are gonna give us some fireworks.

Theres just so many guys at the absolute peak of the game right now. it rules.

Woods had a calm front nine while his back nine is getting a little more adventurous.

    Cam Smith is so ridiculous.

Also, 64-year-old Bernhard Langer through 10, hasn't missed a fairway, hit 8 greens and Even par. Currently leading Justin Thomas, Morikawa, Burns, DeChambeau.

Tiger is playing mostly as you'd expect him to, maybe even a little better than you'd expect him to, but he does not look remotely comfortable.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I’m more worried to see how Tiger holds up over the week. It’ll be tough on his body.

I almost hope he doesnt make the cut. For his sake. Nobody will be critical of him - i don’t think he can do this for 4 days.

That pin location on hole 5 was just nasty. Curious to see where they put it tomorrow.

Hoping Tiger can turn it around but he is struggling mightily today.

One of the picks in my pool, Harold Varner III, is looking really good.

Hard to think of many more impressive runs than the one Scottie Scheffler has been on these last few months. Absolutely scorching the fields.

Final pairing has started! I think Scheffler will pull it out but no doubt Cam Smith will make it interesting.

Min Woo Lee is absolutely destroying the course right now. Will be too late for him but he'll be a name to watch for in the years to come.

Tough to watch Cam Smith melt down like this.

Morikawa and McIlroy holed out from the bunker on 18 which was awesome.

Scheffler is just so ice cold out there. Not the most charismatic person but if he continues to dominate out there he will win some people over. Hard not to think of him as the favorite at Southern Hills next month.
