I think there’s definitely ways for Dems to win in November if they handle the news cycle correctly and do literally anything they promised, a longshot that that happens but it could. The bigger question is what then? They’re only staving off an inevitable defeat if they continue doing nothing to make peoples lives any better. They’re going to get destroyed at some point, and try to come up from the ashes begging for donations but it might be too late and things might get very, very bad.

 

This senate cycle has been so frustrating. In got a bunch of Repubs elected in the tea party sweep of 2010, Hillary ended up dragging the ticket down a bit in 2016/Trump drove up rural turnout so it prevented Dems from winning a bunch of winnable seats, and now it’s a midterm for a Dem president again, making gains less likely than they would be otherwise. Awful timing.
