I might get lawn tickets for Summerfest. It’s on a Saturday.

I'm listening to The White Album now and I'm even more excited to see Weezer on this tour.

I have a feeling White Album is going to be on repeat for me all summer. So good. Can't wait til June

Going to three shows on this tour (Houston, Corpus Christi, and Denver), mostly for Panic!

Love Andrew McMahon ITW though, so stoked they're opening. Always have liked Weezer, saw them when they opened for blink in 2009. This will be a fun summer.

Hoping Panic! will shake things up a little, they were playing the same setlist for a while. The "Bohemian Rhapsody" cover can go now. Off the new album, would like to see "Crazy=Genius" and "The Good, The Bad, and The Dirty" added. "Don't Threaten Me" will be a killer opener. If they end up bringing out a horn section instead of using tracks, Panic! will hit a new level.

I totally agree that I'd like to see the Queen cover gone, but I don't think it will happen. I'd also like to see him drop "Let's Kill Tonight" and "Vegas Lights" in favor of new stuff/maybe something like "Pas De Cheval" (more Pretty. Odd. will never happen though, sadly).

Yeah, wouldn't have a problem with some of those repeated album cuts getting traded out for others. "Pas de Cheval" would be nuts, but you're right, highly unlikely. I could see at least "That Green Gentlemen" being played sometime again - they played it on the Vices & Virtues tour. I think their last album cycle touring was the best Panic! has ever sounded live, so I hope they go big on this tour this summer.

    Things have changed.

The lack of Pretty. Odd. songs is mostly because the album is very slow, tempo-wise, in comparison to most of the rest of the stuff that makes the live set. Outside of something like "Pas" or "Mad As Rabbits" (which is NEVER gonna get played ever again considering that's what basically broke the band up), there's not a lot of faster, energetic stuff that would fit.

But you're right: The live show is next-level these days.

As someone who's favorite Panic album is Pretty. Odd., I get a little agitated seeing only one song (and, IMO one of the weakest songs on the album) in their sets. However, I love all of Panics album, and their live show is absolutely awesome. Brendon Urie is an insane vocalist.

Weezer played this set at their CD release show in Brooklyn. I imagine it will be similar to the set on this tour, probably a couple songs shorter:

    California Kids
    My Name Is Jonas
    Hash Pipe
    Back to the Shack
    L.A. Girlz
    El Scorcho
    The British Are Coming
    Pork and Beans
    Do You Wanna Get High?
    Cleopatra
    The Waste Land
    Thank God for Girls
    Say It Ain't So
    The Good Life
You Gave Your Love to Me Softly (Brian Bell on vocals)
    King of the World
    Island in the Sun
    Undone - The Sweater Song
    ----
    Beverly Hills
    Buddy Holly

Wow that is literally a perfect setlist. Do they normally play You Gave Your Love...?

Probably 2 less songs or so, but I imagine they'll play a few less album cuts and add in a couple more "Greatest Hits". They'll probably want

I have to take a listen to the new album. I just moved all the weezer songs from my old PC to my phone (what a challenge THAT was) - just to get Pinkerton, Blue, Green - since the CDs are missing.

Wait, what's the story behind Mad as Rabbits?

  18. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

It was Ryan's first foray into wanting to become the lead singer and basically splintered the band in two.

I hope PATD! headlines in Camden so I can just watch Weezer and leave. That would please the Taco-King.

I am 99% sure Panic is playing before Weezer every night.
