I didn’t even know how to get bladid until I had to research it. I probably forgot to pay attention to what the merchants were telling me

 

i was wondering for a while who is this howling mf haha

 

The fact they put him on my map and I spent like an hour searching for him only to realize you have to do something to get him to come out hurts me

Because now I bet there are other characters like this around there

I never use lock on for big enemies like the giant, dragons or golems. The camera gets wacky

 

If you’re gonna be underneath a big ol boy like that for the whole fight there’s not much need to lock on, I don’t really use it for dragon fights and the like

 

I like to be locked on to large enemies whenever I'm not in melee attack range, just so I can always see what they're doing. In Elden Ring especially, a lot of those kinds of enemies LOVE to create distance between you whenever possible, which gets frustrating. As soon as I get in close, I turn it off immediately.

 

knowing when and when not to lock in is part of the skillset imo

 

I always lock on by default and if I find myself having a hard time with a boss, I'll try unlocking.

 

This underground area is cool as hell

 

its kinda needed for jump attacks though which is my main way of playing. can do it without, but definitely easier to lock on until suddenly it decides to go haywire... and annoying to have a feature that is supposed to make doing stuff easier just get in the way

Jump attacks are almost too strong

 

they work well until you fight enemies that are good at attacking you first and punishing you and then you're left being like "help how do I actually play this game"

 

oh then you just use the L2 R2 of your moonveil lmao

once I got it I literally went to a caelid farm spot just to get my int up and damn it’s worth it

 

jump attacks are all I do and doesn’t poise help with them?

 

Jump attacks are supposed to break poise

 

I just beat Rykard. The mini boss before him was harder than him in my opinion.

Lyndell is up next and my god, it might be the worst area in the whole game.

 

Lyndell is incredible imo and fucking gorgeous.
