Was weird they set it to password access about 2-3 minutes before the drop time…

Wound up with the Newbury press

Grabbed the Newburry one. Can’t stand the cover art so I compromised for the best-looking (in my opinion) color way

Woah this was pricey in Europe. $70 for the Otherness Milky Clear W/ Black & Orchid Colour

Most likely dropping $63 for the alternative cover (at least it’s Lenticular) cause I hate the standard one that much lol

Wanted to grab the deluxe, but I'm actually trying to curb my vinyl purchases lately so I opted for the pinwheel variant from their site.

loving this direction for them. Production works well for the stoner rock sound imo. Usually I'd get a copy of the vinyl for a band I love as much as aof but I've really been trying to cut down on my record buying lately.

I feel like you'd dig the first two records more than the stuff that follows it? I assume you've checked them out before haha

yeah but never spent too much time with them. I used to love "This Could Be Anywhere in the World" but for some reason never really dug into much else.

For anyone starting with Alexis I always point them to Crisis as I feel that's their most mainstream / accessible album still.

Watch Out! Is an absolute monster of an album though as well and with some of their best work.

I can't tell if I like this cover more or less than Light We Made it gives off the same energy

Surprised by the cover since Nick from Touché Amoré worked on it and I usually love his stuff.

LWM art grew on me over the years tbh and kinda works with the themes of that record (dont listen to me I'm a biased B&C fan). Definitely their weakest though. I just find this AOF artwork to be unsettling personally.

That's a big surprise to me. Nick so often does really awesome work especially typography/fonts. First piece of his I've actively disliked.

Perhaps unsettling was the point? If so...nailed it.

LWM just reminds me of Homer's make-up gun

Man the production is a bit of a bummer. I want an Alexisonfire song to “hit” on the speakers. This doesn't do that, and I know I would enjoy it more if it did. Doesn't have any bite to it to me.

(Song still good though - will probably love the shit out of this record)

(I'm glad they didn't just reuse the 3 singles in '19 and '20 and place them on the album)

OK, pre-ordered the gold variant from Revolver.

  23. Speaking of production, I've been revisiting their entire discography and Crisis must have one of my favorite productions of all time. It manages to sound crisp while still having that dirtiness and rawness about it. Dog's Blood EP comes close too. The drums sound sick on the title track alone.
