Problem is the thing you seem to enjoy the most is making other people feel like shit for having an opinion that dares oppose yours.

I guess I’m not surprised that he didn’t play a bunch of the new album but just one song? Have some faith in it!

interested as well. He sounded awesome when I saw him in 2016 but the newer live stuff I’ve heard hasn’t sounded great

 

I tend to land in the "play more of your new album live" camp, which is sometimes an unpopular take, but it just seems bizarre to me that he'd release something this intimate and heartfelt and then play one song from it. Maybe he'll add more as we get farther from release day and people get to know the songs better?

 

Yea, I’m always down for a setlist to be changed up with a new album. Most bands usually 2-4 or so, especially the ones playing 20 or so songs. It’s super rare that I’ve seen a band only play one new song if the album is out. I feel like I saw a band do it at least once but can’t recall who at the moment.

 

Is Dashboard closing or Jimmy Eat World? Are they alternating since it’s co headlining?

 

Jimmy Eat World is closing every night.

 

There have been cases where I've seen an artist play most of the new album, and then cases where I've only gotten 3-4 songs. only time I can remember getting just one new song was Springsteen's Working on a Dream tour, and that was a unique case where the album had already been out for almost a year and he'd transitioned to playing full albums as part of his set.

 

Late to the party but just got around to checking this out. Haven't listened to Dashboard in years, but this record is a straight up audio heated blanket.

 

I went through a list of bands and could not think of one time it has happened for me now that I really thought it over. Even the band who should not be named played 2 new songs before their album even came out, like months before.

 

Dashboard Coffeesional needs to be a thing NOW

 

Album hasn’t gotten old for me yet. It’s been the perfect recipe for the sunrise and a cup coffee out on the back patio. I legit go outside and chill with it on before my daughter and wife wake up.

Still waiting on my pre-orders though. Not even a shipping notification yet.

 

Highly suggest listening to this album on a decent pair of headphones BTW. Production is stellar!

 

Anyone else still not get their pre-order?

 

Think Young is the only song on this record I'm not enamoured with.

 

What a show with Jimmy Eat World on Saturday. By far one of the coolest shows I've been to. If you ever get the chance to see a concert in a cave, fucking do it.

Also late giving my reaction but yeah this album is fantastic. Favorites right now are Burning Heart, The Better Of Me, Southbound and Sinking, Sleep In, Me and Mine, and Pain Free In The Chords.

 

Anyone know if the Dc/Jimmy tour will do A markets in summer. Really hoping. Also I’d be fine if he played this whole album.
