I just randomly had a memory of this song, what a strange time for the band

 

Lol way up on my list of "songs I despise by artists I love"

 

If I recall that song was written for a pop artist but they turned it down in the end. Did we ever find out who that artist was?

 

Oh god I forgot exactly how bad the lyrics to that song are. I wish I didn't re-listen

Got my shipping notification also. Feel like it’s been a minute since I got a record I was anticipating on/around release day rather than months later.

 

I am also very excited, plus I tossed in a hoodie when I pre-ordered and will be wearing that all weekend.

 

I've been so exhausted with work and was thinking of just selling my ticket for tonight's album release show. I check stubhub and see that tickets are going for like half of what they original were. I'm shocked that Dashboard in NYC at a 500 capacity club doesn't have more of a demand.

Guess I'll just go haha. The plus side to these masks is no one will know when I'm yawning.

 

I’m going tonight as well - are masks required? I didn’t see it posted anywhere. Not an issue for me but just curious if that was something special that they’re doing for this show. Excited for the show!

 

Nope masks aren't required, it just says masks are "strongly recommended." Do you know what time the show starts? All I can find is that doors are at 7pm, but doesnt say anything about show time or if there are even any opening acts.

 

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I cant find any information on it anywhere. I’m hoping to grab some food beforehand, but if he comes in at 715 or 730 it would be really tight. I’ll give the venue a call and see if I can find out some more info.

I wish I knew they’d be selling vinyl at the show, I wouldn’t have pre ordered it!

Show was great, Chris sounds as good as ever. Set list was perfect too, mainly stuff from the first 3 albums. Would’ve been cool if he played another new song besides the 2 singles though

 

Man that show was great. Chris sounded amazing and the set list rocked. The crowd was awesome and he was so genuinely happy to be back. What a great vibe!

 

Halfway through the album and damn Chris smashed this shit out of the park.

Special mention to Chris for writing a Clash/Springsteen hybrid of a song in Southbound and Sinking.

EDIT: OMG that ending and last chorus to Sunshine State. The way his voice almost cracks and sounds like he's screaming "Sunnshinnnneeeeeee" between 2:37-2:39 is so sick.
