Saw these guys tonight and they killed it. I hope they have a headlining tour so we can have longer set. There were a few sound issues though. It just wasn’t that loud, not near as loud as Manchester Orchestra. Also, the bass at some parts could’ve been upped. Like the beat at the beginning of If I Believed in Love wasn’t near as powerful as it could’ve been. I wanted to feel it in my body. Great show overall, though. Manchester Orchestra was amazing as well

How long is their set? I like Manchester orchestra but I'm def there for Foxing.

    Eight songs

  5. If it's like the first leg, it'll be shorter than anyone wants =(

Hammerstein Ballroom in October was 8 songs and the distribution was 4 from DDtM, 3 from NMG, and The Medic. I don't recall much banter or anything extra, but I could be wrong about that because I was kinda grumpy about how much the crowd there sucked.

I just hope MO is a bit more in the zone this time. Last time I saw them, I'm pretty sure they were pissed about how our crowd treated Alex G.

  7. Once you've seen them in a silly/fun mood, like when they tour with KD, it's harder to fully appreciate a fully-serious set hahah

  8. Yeah I noticed that about the bass needing to be louder during Foxing's set in StL too. Still ruled tho

I think I might hold off for a headliner. I like Manchester Orchestra but I’m not really a massive fan.

  10. For what it's worth I'm the same way with MO these days (although I played the shit out of their first two records circa 2009-11) and I still enjoyed their set. But I get it

    Michigander were really good too

I saw MO/Foxing in 2019 and it was a good time, mainly because of Foxing (that’s why I went), but maybe if I was into Manchester Orchestra prior to the show (I had only ever briefly listened to them before) I would have been more into it and also more hyped for this tour (I’ve listened to them a bit more now…but not enough tbh)

Shit that's it?! Was definitely hoping for way more than that. I was considering this concert over going on a ski trip...reconsidering now....

It’s a bummer that Dealer is falling by the wayside for some reason. I remember the band saying something brief about it back in, like, 2020 that it was misunderstood or something and that they were bummed some prominent music reviewer didn’t like it, which is whack because I think it was that goofball F*ntano and Dealer verifiably rules

I need to revisit this album because it did not grab me the way Dealer and NMG did, which is a bummer

  18. Didn't know that about Dealer. I came to Foxing in the leadup to NMG so the first two don't resonate the same way, but in retrospect I'm surprised Dealer wasn't bigger.

It makes sense that DDtM wasn't for everyone, given the big choices they made with the overall sound. But I think it'd grow on anyone who really loved NMG.

Dealer is good but admittedly never clicked for me. I do throw it on every now and then but, just don’t love it.

Don't know if he'll keep doing it but Eric from Foxing has been going live on his instagram during their whole set for the past two nights.

making a subdued and somber record after a breakout like the albatross was always going to be a gamble. obviously i fucking love it and its one of my favorite albums of all time, and id still rank it third. but it makes sense why they would go for the albatross fan favorites, the new album, and then the stunners from NMG to round out a setlist as an opener.

  23. Yeah Dealer is probably still my second-favorite record of theirs but at the same time if they're only gonna play one pre-NMG song I 100% get why it's "The Medic"
