Saw Brian Fallon last night in Atl and was great as always, you could tell he was a little nervous (even said it) as it's been a while but hearing Local Honey songs live was awesome!

You can’t convince me that Van Morrison, Lil Wayne, and Weezer are bigger draws than The Smashing Pumpkins.

And I’m not even a Pumpkins fan.

how the heck is train still a band? And big enough to headline some of these venues?

Oh, they're very popular with the demographic they appeal to.

just looked at their past tours and they always do a big coheadliner in the summer to fill sheds. Goo Goo Dolls, Hall and Oats, Wallflowers, Fray, OAR, bands of that nature. Smart booking.

Train is a fun live band because they understand it's kitschy and meme-y and lean into that.

I think Weezer and Pumpkins are equal draw tbh. But seeing Van Morrison and Lil Wayne over the Pumpkins is a bit odd…

Weezer has way more popular songs that casuals know than the Pumpkins for SURE.

You might be right but im not sure that’s always a perfect indicator of who is a bigger draw at a festival.

Case in point: the When We Were Young lineup. Bright Eyes appears to be a sub headliner, while 3oh!3 is one of the last bands listed. Bright Eyes is one of my all time favorite bands, but I’m certain the majority of casual music listeners can name 2-3 3oh!3 songs and 0-1 bright eyes songs

I was holding out thinking it would be cancelled but it wasn't, surprisingly very small crowd but made it much more intimate.

Yeah, Weezer definitely has had more bigger hits in recent years, but I think both bands are playing the same-size venues with somewhat equal ticket sales

Y’all spending a lot of time trying to make sense of the BSMF billing, a festival with a long history of weird booking / billing.
