Finally starting to feel like Spring today, so I threw on The Blue EP. I always forget how damn good this thing is.

Ahh if people decide to cancel their orders because of the delay I hope they set up a wait list for people who missed the initial on sale.

Listened to Transatlanticism this morning and :Passenger Seat" has to be one of their most underrated songs. So sparse and simple and gorgeous. Top three on the album next to "Title and Registration" and "A Lack of Color."

Speaking of which, I read this morning that they recorded 12 songs for the album but only finished the 11 for release, and I didn't see that recording on the Demos tracklist. Anyone know what that 12th song was or if it ever surfaced?

 

I also love the demo of "Stable Song," I know they rejected the emo label but that feels like their last emo-influenced recording before fully transitioning into indie-pop for Plans.

 

Passenger Seat is one of their absolute best songs

Is my three favourite songs on that album, back to back. Incredible section.

 

Goddamn do I love 3 song runs

 

What Sarah Said > Brothers on a Hotel Bed > Stable Song

Is probably even better for me. What a way to end an album.
