I don't think they take that long. They’re already 5 or 6 songs in, and tracking more as they go. I thought AJ said they were entering the studio for 7 weeks and then news of the single & album would follow shortly after that.

Not sure that we’ll have it in March but April/May is my guess.

 

Will Yip had Pianos, Turnover and now Superheaven all in (and out) within like three months.

Looks like 11 tracks assuming none get cut per the post they shared from the drummer being done tracking

 

Video of their new drummer Christian playing Catholic Girls.. this dude is solid. One thing you can say about them, They always have outstanding drummers..

 

I still don't know what the difference is between Dangerous Summer and Broken Glowsticks, but looking forward to the new music.

 

My understanding is that Broken Glowsticks is more AJ's solo project while TDS is the full band effort (AJ + Matt + Josh & Christian currently)

Matt also has a solo project called Little Kennedy, for those that don't know. He only has one song out currently, to my knowledge.

 

Looks like recording for LP6 is all wrapped up! Now we wait.

I'm so stoked. And I love the fact they lived there.. similar to how they did on Mother Nature.. Can't wait to hear this!

 

Do you guys think The Best Part of letting go will be on the album? I recall initially they said it was but I somehow think it may just end up a one off single

 

Album is done.. anyone want to take some guesses when first single drops? One of the things they said they Love owning the label is they don't have to wait to release stuff.. I'm guessing around last week of March first week of April for first single!

 

I'm thinking first week of April, tour wrapping up then but who knows! Wondering if they will play a new song on that tour too.

 

They played a new song last night called Coming Home. AJ said the album is also called Coming Home and should be out by early summer. He “loves us and wants to get that shit to us fast”. The track was pretty heavy and upbeat. I tried to take a recording with my phone but it’s.. not great. Maybe someone will get a proper video while they’re on tour.

 

If it’s anything like NFG’s Coming Home it should be good.

Dude they sound great. Sounds like a great song. Loving the new drummer as well. Exciting times in TDS land.

 

Given the two drummers he has to follow and the parts he has to replicate, he did a damn fine job. Can’t wait to hear the new songs and get a better sense of his style. Really awesome guy too.

Really great show. Idk why knitting factory needs to aggressively play so many brand new songs inbetween sets. Cory wells likes to be like this song is about "name of song" a lot lol
