Yeah, like the Browns QB competition between Johnny Manziel or Brian Hoyer was great for the Browns!

 

Being realistic and adjusting is better than being stubborn and doubling down and losing twice as big

If they think it's an open competition. That's fine. If they are thinking of drafting another LT, like Salah said, that's bad.

But one is already done lol. They can’t go back and undraft him so why not see if there’s a way to have your best 5 up there as opposed to just handing him the job for funsies.

Well yeah that’s def fair. It just started with LOL JETS and while they’re very easy to make fun of idk if this is really that mockable other than “you drafted a consensus first rounder and it’s not working out”

 

Just thinking back on what I saw and heard about Becton being more of a "project" and thus being a riskier pick in the first round, especially compared to the other tackles drafted around him. Since then, he's had a good rookie season, gets hurt, is the subject of trade rumors, and now seemingly has lost the LT job to George Fant and has to compete for the RT job.

For an organization that has been a dumpster fire for years now, it sure seems like they should focus on bringing in legit good players with no concerns, but, yeah, I'm sure most Jets fans will say the Becton pick has been working out great so far lol
