Also how did the Wookie even get into the complex, let alone undetected all the way to Boba’s room while everyone was clearly close by?

He has a pretty intense history as a bounty hunter and general riff raff. It’d be like if Boba or Mando just showed up somewhere. We just assume he could do it.

Kinda funny how they released him and then he just ran off. Literally ran

The way he just awkwardly ran off i felt like i was watching a robot chicken parody version of this episode.

    just, so bad.

    Rodriguez shouldn’t be directing these.

This is almost exactly my position. The second episode had me excited about this, but it feels like they're only continuing with my least favorite story threads now. Having the Hutts and Krrsantan be the main antagonists would have been much better than the Pykes in my opinion.

Boba Fett is such an uninteresting character. I think this was my last episode. Give me more Mandalorian.

Honestly, looking at the general reception to this and Solo, it should be clear to them that people want new things, rather than returning to old characters. Worries me about Obi-Wan. Then again it could just mean that when they return to old characters they just need to be better written.

I just want a reason to care. Having trouble finding one with this.

Funny enough i am not even remotely worried about Obi Wan. They have to *know* they can’t fuck that one up.

this show just feels like an absolute joke that nobody put any thought or care into. I cannot CANNOT get over how cringe-bad that chase scene was at the end of this episode. Like, it felt like the Blues Brothers chase through the mall. How many fruit and vegetable stands could they make him drive through.

Honestly.. I genuinely feel like the chase was on par with some of the worst things I've seen in all of Star Wars.

Saw someone say that the cyberpunks looked like characters out of spy kids. Couldnt agree more. They looked and felt so out of place.

That chase was brutally bad. Thankfully the high republic books are great tho so I’ll stick with that until this (hopefully) gets good

    Obiwan will be on Tatooine.

Tatooine is the least interesting planet in Star Wars, but it's treated like the most because it's "a hive of scum and villainy".

They haven't posted about ep 3 yet but I'm pretty sure they'll share my feeling of disappointment re: killing the Tuskens

At this point I think the main reason all these Star Wars series are spending so much time on Tatooine is because it requires less set dressing and VXF than having most of the story take place in a planet that is more urban and dense, and is therefore cheaper to produce.

Boba works better as a secondary character. Him popping up in the Mandalorian is great, but I’m not sure if his own show is really needed. Some characters don’t need to be front and center.

They can film like 98% of tattoine in the volume lol

This really sums it all up for me. Some corners and shadows are better left unexplored. Disney has no understanding of this.

fixed it. it's true though. it's why i never liked the idea of a Lando show/spin-off as well.

Yeah, in giving him his own show, they needed to make sure he had an additional story that HAD to be told...which so far does not seem to be the case.

Boba's trajectory felt a little odd to me even when he popped up in The Mandalorian though. It's like they sort of reimagined an adult Boba Fett-esque character with Din Djarin anyway (kid Boba feels entirely different to me). They basically gave him all of the interesting little one-off bounty hunter stories that they could have used with Boba.

Hopefully this pays off in the bigger picture or something, but right now it doesn't seem too important.

Star Wars needs to understand that Boba Fett has sucked since day 1. He was a nothing character in a decent suit. The fascination with him is absurd.
