    "I'll chew on a dog!"

The meta moment of Junior watching Curb Your Enthusiasm and thinking Larry is him and Jeff is Bobby is fantastic. A real HBO pat on the back.

  12. Time to watch this again. Work has been ass and I don't idolize Tony or anything but watching this show gave me a weird sense of confidence when dealing with conflict and the anxiety that comes with it

David Lee Roth AND a Mudvayne concert in the same episode? Sick.

The Test Dream. the closest this show gets to International Assassin.

  18. Just finished this show — took a little over three months. Glad I finally watched it, always thought it wouldn’t live up to the hype after waiting so long, but it absolutely did. Excuse me if I blow up some of your notifications with likes as I skim through this thread hah

Finished season 5. Absolutely PHENOMENAL season. I previously knew of the season's big death, but seeing it played out was still heartbreaking.

Have been really absorbing this over the last few days, from reading all of your comments, to the various articles and sites, interviews, video analysis, etc. Excited to jump back in someday, loved this show so much.

Enough about this has been said for years that I don’t really feel the need to add a lot, but one of my favorite exchanges in the entire show never came up in here. It’s right after Tony wakes up from the coma:

I love Chris’s answer here because on one hand, it really strengthens this image of him that despite all the terrible things he’s done, doubts he lingers on, and countless examples of the fragility of life that have been laid before him, he still has an immense sense of pride and purpose. Like his significance is undeniable, assuring himself that he’s still destined for great things.

And then on the other hand it’s just a hilarious refusal to acknowledge any ounce of existentialism. Just sees that dreadful abyss right in front of him and goes “hm. nope. not for me” lmao

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I don't think we talk enough about how goddamn funny this show is. like yes it's an amazing dissection of the American Dream and nihilism and the family unit and all that stuff, the dream episodes are straight masterpieces and all that, but it's also one of the funniest damn shows I've ever seen. I quote shit from this show to my friends as often as I do stuff like Always Sunny or Arrested Development or 30 Rock, which is basically the highest bar there is. I think a lot of people have trouble starting this because they expect a brutal, Wire-like challenge the whole time (not that The Wire isn't funny too but it's in a different way)
